Who we are

Isaac Poulton Limited (“FreedomRPG”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates FreedomRPG. This policy explains how we collect, use, and disclose personal information when you use our website, web app, and related services.

Information we collect

We collect information you provide to us, including account information, game content, files you upload, communications you send us, information connected with purchases, and optional account-linked answers about what influenced you to try FreedomRPG.

When you use FreedomRPG, we and our service providers may automatically collect information about your device and use of the service, such as your IP address, browser, operating system, approximate location, referral source, pages and features used, and dates and times of access. We may collect this information using cookies and similar technologies.

We may also receive information from other services you choose to use with FreedomRPG, such as authentication and payment providers.

How we use information

We may use the information we collect to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, personalize, and improve FreedomRPG;
  • manage accounts, purchases, credits, subscriptions, support, and communications;
  • market and advertise FreedomRPG and measure campaign effectiveness;
  • understand how people find and choose FreedomRPG;
  • prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other misuse;
  • enforce our terms, comply with legal obligations, and protect our rights and the rights of others; and
  • carry out other purposes described when information is collected or with your consent.

Private and public game content

Game content is private unless you choose to share or publish it. Automated systems may process private game content to provide, maintain, secure, and improve FreedomRPG.

Freedom staff do not access private game content unless you ask us to help, access is reasonably necessary to investigate a serious security or abuse incident, or the law requires it.

Content you choose to share or publish may be viewed, copied, or shared by others. We cannot control how other people use information you make available to them.

Legal bases

Where applicable law requires a lawful basis, we process personal information:

  • as necessary to provide FreedomRPG and fulfill our contract with you;
  • for our legitimate interests in operating, improving, securing, and promoting FreedomRPG and protecting our rights, where those interests are not overridden by your rights;
  • with your consent, where we ask for it; and
  • as necessary to comply with legal obligations.

How we disclose information

We may disclose information:

  • to vendors and service providers that help us operate FreedomRPG, including AI, hosting, payment, authentication, communication, and security providers;
  • to analytics and advertising partners;
  • when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect FreedomRPG, our users, or others;
  • to professional advisers and parties involved in a merger, financing, sale, reorganization, or similar business transaction; and
  • when you direct us to share information or otherwise consent.

Cookies and similar technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies and similar technologies to operate FreedomRPG, remember preferences, understand how the service is used, and measure advertising.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Where required by law, we will ask for consent before using non-essential cookies or similar technologies.

Marketing communications

You can unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link in those emails. We may still send messages needed to administer your account or provide the service.

International data transfers

FreedomRPG and its service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we use safeguards recognized under applicable data protection law when transferring personal information internationally.

Data retention

We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to meet legal, accounting, reporting, security, and dispute-resolution requirements.

How long we retain particular information depends on its nature and sensitivity, the reasons we collected it, the risks associated with it, and any applicable legal requirements.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. These rights may be limited in some circumstances.

To exercise a right, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.

You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data protection authority.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect personal information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children’s privacy

FreedomRPG is intended only for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top when we do. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice where required by law.
